Kitty Dickerson-Firth
Kitty studied Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University and has spent twenty-two years designing and directing bridal, occasion, womenswear and childrenswear across London, New York and international manufacturing.
Ten of those years were as Co-Founder and Design Director of TH&TH, built from a £5,000 investment and a collection of 60 dresses into a brand sold through 30 retailers globally, including Selfridges — then led through acquisition and exit, followed by a year on the board of the 200-person acquiring organisation.
Before that, a decade designing dresses and soft wovens for major international retailers including American Eagle, Next and Walmart — travelling to factory partners across China, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, and to fabric fairs from Première Vision Paris to New York.
She works the whole arc: runway and cultural signal, trend and colour, fabric, sketch, construction, fit, finished garment, campaign and brand. Which means an idea rarely gets lost between the sketchbook and the shop floor.
She also guest lectures at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and mentors at Graduate Fashion Week London.
Romantic but not precious. Feminine but not sweet. Serious about design, less serious about everything else.
